Tiny Tots for our young athletes born in 2019 and 2020. Age groups for the 2023-24 season are based on how old the athlete is as of the 31st December 2023. You can use the 2023/2024 Age Group Calculator if you are unsure what age group your athlete is in.

Registration

Registrations for the 2023/2024 season will open in mid-September. Visit the Registration page for information on how to register with the Tuggeranong Tornadoes for the 2023-24 Little Athletics season. All registered Tiny Tots will receive their very own free Tiny Tots T-shirt!

Tiny Tots start at 8:45am Saturdays at our Kambah Number 3 Oval on Kett Street, Kambah.

The 2023/2024 season gets underway on Saturday 14 October 2023.

We have a group warm up and then move onto the activities. Depending on the numbers, Tiny Tots will break up into several groups (usually 5-6), each group plays one activity and then when the whistle sounds the groups will move onto the next. A must for all enthusiastic our youngest athletes, Tiny Tots is prefect for parents, carers and grandparents looking for something fun for their junior members of the family on a Saturday morning.

The Tiny Tots group is focused on group activities full of fun, colour, team work and skills. The Tiny Tots’ activities are designed to improve the children’s basic motor skills, co-ordination and ensure the children have a great time in a fun safe group environment.

We are currently seeking a Tiny Tots is coordinator. If you are able to volunteer your time on a Saturday morning to run the Tiny Tots activities for our 2023-24 season, please email registrar@tlaa.org.au to express your interest. Capital Athletics has a range of resources available and is able to provide a week by week Tiny Tots activity program if required.

Tiny Tots does rely on a lot of parental involvement and we ask that 1 adult stays with their child to assist them with our fun activities. If you have children in other age groups and you are going to be with them, please just let our Tiny Tots coordinator know before you leave so your little one (and us) know where you’ll be!

In Tiny Tots we don’t record race times, placings, etc. Tiny Tots is more focused on fun and learning the basics.

At times during the season the main age groups will clear the main straight track to make way for the Tiny Tots to have a run. We also have great fun jumping in the Junior Long Jump pit.
